Xbox’s Game Pass additions for the second half of May 2026 have been revealed and there’s some solid stuff. While Forza Horizon 6

is the big exclusive that subscribers will be downloading this week, there’s a handful of other games worth keeping an eye on this month, including an all-time great:

Microsoft has been slowly adding each entry in Square Enix’s Pixel Remaster anthology to its Netflix-like subscription library, and May 2026 finally sees the second-best game in the RPG series make its arrival just in time for a nostalgic summer replay.

is the pinnacle of old-school turn-based combat and SNES-era pixel art, combined with a great story, characters who resonate, and an unforgettable soundtrack.

If you’ve never given it a shot before, or don’t think 16-bit JRPGs are for you, well, try it out. You might be surprised how quickly it pulls you in. What I wouldn’t give to be back on the Lethe River suplexing a giant talking octopus.

Here’s everything in Game Pass wave 2 for May 2026:

Forza Horizon 6  (Cloud, XBOX Series X|S, Handheld, and PC) – May 19

Game Pass Ultimate, PC Game Pass

Dead Static Drive  (Cloud, Console, and PC) – May 20
